A couple of weeks ago, I wanted to take some time to design just for fun...and it felt so good! I’ve been really focused on client work recently, with absolute good cause of course...but life has also been super busy, meaning I’d kinda forgotten what it was like to just create something cute and fun, just for the sake of it.
Enter Everblüm...a refined and organic brand identity design and website for florists, with a hint of 'fun' thrown in for good measure. I kicked things off with a mini client profile (grab your free one here), in order to tailor a little bit of a brief:
Business Name: Everblüm
Client: Gabrielle Jones
Project Scope: Branding Design & Website Design
Investment: $4,000 AUD
Key Words: Refined, Natural, Organic, Earthy, Fun
Professional Women, Aged 28-36
Either a keen florist themselves, who is wanting to upscale their business through mentorship and courses
Or, engaged to be married and looking for refined, elegant and natural wedding floristry for their wedding
Ideal Client Spend: Upwards of $2,000 AUD for mentorship and courses, and for weddings, upwards of $15,000 AUD
I began by pulling together a brand colour palette and then taking some time to explore a couple of font options. In the end, I chose Analogue by New Tropical Design Studio - I am a big fan of Tom's fonts and I use them regularly in my design work across The Wonderbrand and Wonderland Invites.
I wanted to keep the designs minimal and refined, but I also wanted to include some elements which felt whimsical and fun. I decided to develop this sense of whimsy through the use of floral graphics. The illustrations I ended up with feel organic in shape, which lends itself beautifully to the 'organic' key word I wanted to hit as part of the overall brief.
As part of the exercise, I decided to create a couple of logo and secondary logo options alongside a pattern and website homepage mock up; in essence just to show how developing a brand beyond a logo can create a meaningful brand identity.
I am so thrilled with the results of this mini-project; the arch shapes and the clean, modern typography fill my cup! Paired with the organic florals and muted, Spring-like palette, the whole vibe is just so gorgeous! I hope you love the results as much as I do!
